Albino "Albie" Folcarelli pleaded guilty and admitted his role in an extortion of a used car salesman as part of a plea deal he agreed to last month. Folcarelli also had to admit being an associate of the New England Mafia in what has become a common betrayal of mob code. Six other defendants in this ongoing case against the Patriarca crime family have already pleaded guilty including Luigi "Baby Shacks" Manocchio and Edward "Eddy" Lato.

Folcarelli was recommended for membership into the New England La Cosa Nostra family according to a high ranking mobster turned rat who many believe is alleged Patriarca family capo Robert DeLuca. But it is unlikely he gets inducted into the crime family now after his admission in court. The racketeering case has produced superseding indictment against the Patriarca family. There are only two remaining defendants in the case Theodore Cardillo and the alleged boss of the Patricarca family Anthony DiNunzio. DiNunzio was just charged last month in one of the superseding indictments. DiNunzio was also denied bail at a hearing last week and will be held as he awaits trial.
